With the volume of talk about AI, it is nice when someone helps people who are trying to stay informed on what is happening. In a recent podcast episode with Robbie Stamp, we talked about what needs to be considered in maintaining ethical standards to avoid falling into trouble or creating harm irresponsibly. In this slide deck put together by Nathan Benaich and Ian Hogarth, you see an overview of the sectors AI touches. Put the podcast and this overview together and you have the ingredients for having an in-depth discussion within your company or peers to support decisions.
As usual, much talk about AI centers on the fear of losing our humanity which, quite frankly, is evident anytime unethical decisions are made. However, there are places where AI can support the emergence of greater human potential in that reactive behaviour will not result in well-being. A great deal of discernment is required in the decision-making process which translates into a higher level of consciousness. Discernment is a skill of higher consciousness because it refers to slight nuances which make the difference between accurate and inaccurate perception. This can only be viewed when the need to be right is not at work or when the ego has attained a level of trust in the world to function as a leader selflessly. The challenge before us is to continuously expand consciousness to make these kinds of decisions. Conflicts in life and at work are the best place to start.

What key questions come to mind when you think of implementing AI in your business? Or working with it in life?
Like it or not AI offers an opportunity to extend personal mastery into doing what AI cannot do. Empathy, compassion, intuitive insights are examples of areas in each person that, when developed, can balance the role of AI in personal and business life.
